UCC wishes to appoint an enthusiastic innovative Lecturer to the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy.  The Lecturer will be responsible for teaching content, addressing occupation-based practice in the undergraduate programme and research/theory in the postgraduate programmes; actively conducting research in an area that furthers occupational science and/or occupation-based practice; supervising student research; and participating on Department and College committees.

The Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy is located within the School of Clinical Therapies.  Over the past 12 years, the School has developed a range of clinical healthcare programmes at both undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels.  In addition, the School has a strong commitment to research and a growing suite of continuing professional development modules supporting life-long learning.

Essential criteria for this post includes, amongst others: a PhD or currently registered for a PhD; proven teaching experience and potential; experience in working with children and young adults in either physical or mental health areas; experience of or potential for research supervision; excellent interpersonal skills; and the ability to build relations and work collaboratively; ability to qualify for professional certification as required by AOTI and CORU.

The University, at its discretion, may undertake to make an additional appointment(s) from this competition following the conclusion of the process.

Appointment may be made on the Lectureship Salary Scale: €32,821 – €57,967
