BALKAN CONFERENCE ON OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

On 31st of May and 1st of June 2019 the University of Ruse will host the 2nd International Scientific Conference on “Occupational Therapy: From Roots to Fruits in the Balkan countries”, organized in collaboration with “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacau, the Association of Bulgarian Ergotherapists (ABET) and the Romanian Professional Association of Occupational Therapists (APTOR) under the patronage of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).

During the conference a round table Vision of Occupational Therapy in Bulgaria will be organized for clarifying the core essence of Occupational Therapy as an academic programme and healthcare profession, where representatives of governmental, higher education institutions and NGOs are invited.

European Public Health WEEK (13-17 May 2019) #EUPHW

ENOTHE and COTEC have joined the European Public Health Week!

The European Public Health Association, or EUPHA in short, is an umbrella organisation for public health associations in Europe. With 81 members from 47 countries it has become a scientific, multidisciplinary network of almost 20,000 public health experts since 1992.

To celebrate healthy populations and raise awareness of public health, EUPHA is launching the first European Public Health WEEK (EUPHW) between 13 and 17 May 2019.

The aim of this week is to come together and raise awareness of public health and celebrate healthy populations! During the European Public Health Week there will be events and activities all over Europe dedicated to important public health themes.

EUPHA encourages organizations, professionals and citizens interested in public health to
join or organize activities related to this theme.

It will be 5 days with 5 themes! Check out the themes here

You may also submit an event here, related to the themes. Among other information, you will be asked to select a format for your event ( Lecture, Seminar, Conference, Roundtable discussion, Panel discussion, Networking event, Game, Walk, Webinar, Campaign) and if your event will be online, in-person or both (eg. live streaming).

OT Europe Interest Group Displaced Persons

The OT Europe Interest group is happy to announce that three documents have been published to the website which the group has been working on over the last year. We have published a report on current practice examples of OT with displaced persons in Europe, a call-to-action document and a template position paper. These documents can be found here and also can be found on the OT-Europe website.

ENOTHE and the OT Europe Interest Group Displaced Persons, invites you to explore their website as it aims to serve as a tool for occupational therapy and occupational science practitioners, researchers, students and educators who are aiming to work with displaced persons in their specific countries.
