The Hanneke van Bruggen Lecture is held once a year during the ENOTHE Annual Meeting and is awarded to an Occupational Therapist working in Europe, preceded by member nominations directed to the ENOTHE Board.

ENOTHE Annual Meetings audience is composed of occupational therapy educators, researchers, students, clinicians and other occupational therapy interested persons.
Abstract submission is done through an online platform, called ExOrdo. The information submitted, on this submission platform, will be the primordial reference for the annual meeting content related documents and communication. It is the author’s responsibility to submit correct information.
All submissions must be related to the theme and topics of the conference, with a clear focus on education in Occupational Therapy (OT) and Occupational Science (OS). You will be asked to choose one topic to submit under.
This Annual meeting will have a Book of Abstracts with ISBN.
All presentations, regardless of the format, should be done in the ENOTHE official language – English.
Abstract submission period: January 1st to March 31st 2025
Abstract review results: April 18th 2025
Presentation formats:
- Oral presentation: 15 minutes including both the presentation and a short Q&A session. Supported by a maximum of 8 slides covering introduction, methodology, results, and conclusion.
- Workshop: 90-minute hands-on session on a specific topic.
- Meet-up/Symposium: 90-minute session focused on sharing experiences, knowledge, and best practices related to occupational therapy education while encouraging discussion with participants.

– symposium: features at least three speakers from different institutions, providing structured insights on a specific topic and fostering discussion. - Poster: Presentation of findings or lessons with clear visuals (ISO A0, vertical orientation) readable from 1.5m distance. Include introduction, methodology, results, and discussion points.
- Poster with pitch: 5-minute oral presentation accompanied by a poster to engage the audience. If selected to present a pitch, a digital copy of the poster must be submitted.

Would you like to be an abstract reviewer for this Annual Meeting?
Abstract review is done through ExOrdo; number of abstracts per reviewer vary, but we look forward to do not have more than 15 abstracts assigned to each reviewer; this is a double-blind review; nepotism is prevented ; and reviewers cannot decline assigned reviews.
Review period if from April 1st to 15th.

Annual Meeting registration Fees for all delegates (students, educators, fieldwork educators, practitioners, researchers, PhD students and retired) include:
- 3-day annual meeting event (23-25 October 2025) with access to all presentation formats, Keynote presentations and HvB Lecture
- lunches and coffee breaks
- social events
The fees are subdivided based on the World Bank Economic Status of the country
Notes:
- Fieldwork educators that are affiliated with an ENOTHE member institution, also benefit from member fee;
- A maximum of 6 students per institution is permitted

Terms and Conditions of Registration:
- If you register for the Annual Meeting you agree to have your photo/video taken by conference organisers for publicity material.
- You are eligible for a full refund if you cancel your registration until May 31st.
- You are eligible for a 50% refund if you cancel your registration between June 1st and July 31st.
- You are not eligible for a refund if you cancel your registration from August 1st onwards.

How to get to Coimbra?
Coimbra is a central city in Portugal – it is at 125 Km from Porto airport and at 210 km from Lisboa airport – meaning you can fly to either of these cities and from there get a train or bus. Both airports are easily connected to train and bus stations.

Coimbra train station is at 1,5km from the Hotel Vila Galé (AM location) – you can take a taxi or walk.
