Leiria: About, Transport and Accommodation
About Leiria:
The charming city of Leiria is located in the central region of Portugal, in the Leiria district, halfway between Porto and Lisbon. It is surrounded by one of the oldest state forests in the world and rests on the banks of the River Lis. The city spreads itself over a series of hills, and from any given point you can see its great castle, a UNESCO heritage site. Leiria is also close enough to the ocean and sandy beaches, just a short drive away.
