The International Foundation of Integrated Care (IFIC) in partnership with the Health Service Executive (HSE) presents the 16th International conference on Integrated Care “Building a platform for integrated care: delivering change that matters to people” to take place in Dublin, Ireland 08 to 10 May 2017. In association with 5th World Congress on Integrated Care (WCIC5).

Title: INNOVATIVE TEACHING METHOD AND LEARNING EFFECT ON OT STUDENTS
Presenters: Marie-Antoinette Minis (Senior teacher and President of ENOTHE) and Marlies Nijenhuis (OT student and President of SPOT)
The aim of the presentation is to give inside in an innovative way of teaching OT students at the HAN University of Applied Sciences, Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Students will demonstrate how they learn by choosing their own assignments in a real context. This new teaching method includes the triad of education, research and practice, which makes students more ready for practice.
- Understanding of how the learning environment contributes to the development of OT students.
- Understanding how the ability to choose assignments influences the motivation of students. Students as partner of the teacher, using self-directed learning and responsibility.
- Exchange of ideas with the audience about this new teaching approach/learning environment.

To coincide with World OT Day the OT Global Day of Service (OTGDS) 2016 also takes place on Thursday 27th October. Firstly the ENOTHE Board and office would like to thank Amsterdam School of Health Professions, Soemitro Poebodipoero and Stephanie Saenger (President of COTEC) for being excellent hosts.
The Board had a guided tour of the new facilities led by Danée Arends, an Occupational Therapy student of the University.
The University provided an excellent lunch in the dining room and enabled new Board members to meet with our Colleagues from COTEC.
Financial Advisory Reference Group Meeting (FARG)
A FARG meeting took place in Abcoude, Amsterdam. Ton Satink and Luc Vercruysse met with the ENOTHE office staff and Ursula Gubler Thomann (Treasurer) to discuss ENOTHE finances. The role of FARG is to monitor how ENOTHE members’ money is being for used.
The new ENOTHE Board had three full days meetings as there is a great deal of work that the network requires progressing by the Board. Topics included working as a team, identifying roles and responsibilities, developing an action plan based upon the ENOTHE Strategy 2016 – 2020 and reviewing project applications. The Board were very pleased to receive six project proposal applications. All project applicants will receive a response in the very near future.
Discussion and evaluation took place following the first 2016 COTEC ENOTHE Congress held in Galway, Ireland and preparations for the 2017 ENOTHE Annual Meeting to be held in Zagreb, Croatia were considered.
Joint meetings took place between the two presidents and vice presidents, and the full ENOTHE Board and the COTEC Executive Committee with the focus being on how to progress OT-EU developments.

The final version of the ENOTHE Strategy 2016 – 2020 is now available under ENOTHE Documents.
This reflects the networks desire to be mindful of European policy and the need to be more strategic and proactive in addressing health, social and educational issues across the European region.
This strategy document will enable members to participate in discussions and development of yearly action plans for the strategic period.
